Each airline's mileage program has its own search. Start with the program that publishes the partner you want — Aeroplan, United, Cathay, Qantas, ANA, Air France/KLM, Virgin Atlantic, Alaska — and run dummy searches with flexible dates.

Third-party tools

AwardFares, point.me, Seats.aero, AwardLogic, and ExpertFlyer all aggregate award availability across multiple programs. Most charge a small subscription fee.

Alerts and persistence

Set alerts for the routes and dates you want. Award space ebbs and flows; persistence pays off, especially in the 14-day "last seat" window.
